My 1st Experience in the Hacker Community | MLH Local Hack Day : Share
Major League Hacking, officially abbreviated as MLH, is a company that operates a league for student hackathons. Founded in 2013 by former developer evangelists Mike Swift (formerly of SendGrid) and Jonathan Gottfried (formerly of twilio), Major League Hacking initially provided support for student-run university hackathons.
Local Hack Day: Share is a week-long celebration of sharing everything you’ve learned as a hacker. You’ll spend the week completing technical, design, and social challenges to earn points. There are challenges for every skill level from beginner friendly to hackathon experts. Aside from challenges, they have “live sessions” streaming for you to watch. At these sessions, you’ll join an MLHer as they complete a challenge with you while on stream. They’ll walk you though signing up, completing the challenge, and submitting it properly. The more challenges you conquer, the more points you’ll earn. Tune in each day to check out the leaderboards and share what you’ve built.
Who Am I and My Experience?
Hola Everyone!!
This is Aman Chopra. A Programmer, Developer and a Mentor. I am a Web Developer (React), Java Enthusiast, Cloud(AWS) and DevOps Engineer.
Currently pursuing my Engineering with specialization in ‘Computer Science and Technology’.
This was my 1st ever experience in MLH LHD : Share. A week long challenge and I have participated in numerous of fun and learning activities whether it is from tech, designing, social challenges or attending live sessions and building the projects.
During the entire journey, I have learnt a lot from the Mentors, my teams mates and from other participants too.
Together we have build a lot of projects and done some other fun loving submission like :
- Making an avatar/Cartoon of my own image
- Sharing coffee with my friends and clicking pics
- Designing
- Teaching new skills to others
- Learning about Blockchains etc etc
Taking part in this Hacker community MLH LHD : SHARE was one of the best decision I have ever made. In this 1 week journey I have learnt a lot of new stuffs and build so new connections with some really awesome people which I believe is the best thing ever.
